Name: Jan Voetmann
  
Position: Since February 2008 president, owner and private consultant in room acoustics and audio. Until then a senior technology specialist at DELTA Danish Electronics, Light and Acoustics. 
  
Education: Graduated in 1967 from the Danish Engineering Academy, electronics engineering.
  
 Professional background:

More than 40 years of experience as a consultant in room acoustics and audio. Speciality: cultural acoustics including design of theatres,  cinemas, concert halls, clubs, halls with multi-functionality, broadcast facilities, recording studios, control rooms  etc.

Lecturer in acoustics at the National Theatre School, the Royal Danish Music Academy, and the National Film School. Guest lecturer at the Danish Technical University and at Aalborg University.

 

Co-originator of the Tonmeister-education at the Royal Danish Music Academy.

 

Co-originator of the Danish Sound Technology Network, a four-year programme (start 2009) gathering universities, companies and individuals from the flourishing Danish acoustics community into one single network, in order to stimulate research, development and innovation in the field (www.lydteknologi.dk). 

  
Professional societies: Member of the Audio Engineering Society (since 1976, life member), the Acoustical Society of America (since 1988) and the Danish Acoustical Socitey (since 1968)
